Beach volleyball is a team sport played by teams of two on a sand court divided by a net. The aim of the game is to hit the ball over the net with your hands to score against the other team.
There are three different ways to hit the ball over the net during a game. These are setting, spiking and serving. The scoring of beach volleyball is very similar to tennis.

Beach Volleyball is usually played in the summer months, however some places play all year round! Check with your local club for registration dates.

Costs vary between states. You can play a single game from $15 or you can register for the season for up to $100.
Levels of competition
There are all different levels of competition from beginner through to professional.
