Calisthenics

Calisthenics is a team artistic dance sport performed on-stage. It includes routines executed to music and in costume.
Calistenics offers a unique combination of dancing, singing, gymnastics and technical skill.

Listen to your coach – they will help you develop skills that will enable you to perform confidently on-stage.

What you need
Comfortable sporting clothes. This could include leggings, tights, shorts, a leotard and singlet.
Every club has different uniform needs and will generally supply you with the equipment required to try calisthenics.
Seasons / typical registration period
Registration usually occurs before 31 March, but you can typically join a calisthenics club any time of the year.
Costs vary depending on your age and type of membership (competitive/recreational). Come and try classes are usually free, but it’s best to check with your local club first.
