Lawn bowls

Lawn bowls is the sport that takes a second to learn, but a lifetime to master.
It is played mainly outdoors on grass however it can also be played inside on artificial surfaces.
The aim is to roll bowls closest to a small ball called the "jack".
Tip
Lawn bowls is harder than it looks! Don’t give up on your first try – practice makes perfect.

What you need
Comfortable casual clothes and flat soled shoes or bare feet. Don’t forget sun protection if you’re playing outside.
Seasons / typical registration periods
Registration occurs all year around, but peak seasons are spring, summer and autumn.
