Miss Muddy

Miss Muddy is an awesome 5km female fun run with colour, foam, inflatables, music, obstacles and plenty of mud. Designed to suit all fitness levels for girls aged 13+, Miss Muddy is untimed and non-competitive with a focus on fun and inclusion. It’s a great way to be active and social.

In 2017 Miss Muddy partnered with Girls Make Your Move to give girls from 13 to 17 years free access to their Sydney event. Keep an eye out for offers like this in the future.

The YMCA is a community not-for-profit organisation focused on helping people to be healthier and happier. The YMCA in Australia believes in the power of inspiring young people and provides opportunities for them to be their best.  The YMCA has facilities across Australia offering a range of activities from group fitness classes, court sports, to swimming, teen programs, and more. Each facility is slightly different so check out what’s available at your nearest YMCA.

In 2017 the YMCA partnered with Girls Make Your Move to give girls from 12 to 19 years a free 30-day gym access. Keep an eye out for offers like this in the future.

Jazzercise logo

Jazzercise is a pulse-pounding, beat-pumping, dance party fitness program, with a hot playlist to distract you from the burn. There are a range of classes to keep you motivated and will leave you hot and breathless:

  • Strike

  • Core
  • Strength
  • Dance Mixx.

There are Jazzercise centres across Australia in Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania.

She Went Wild

She Went Wild is on a mission to inspire, empower and educate women to lead an adventurous lifestyle and spend more time outdoors. 

Every day, they help women build up the confidence they need to start their own adventures and showcase those in the world who already do so. They share practical information and inspirational content with them, stage events and hold workshops to empower our members to say yes to an adventurous lifestyle.

In 2017 She Went Wild partnered with Girls Make Your Move to promote the women’s adventure tour.

A special Girls Make Your Move rate has been given to all girls up to the age of 19 years to inspire them to watch the short films and be inspired to get out amongst the great outdoors.

The Women’s Rugby League World Cup 2017

The Women’s Rugby League World Cup was held as a standalone event for the first time in December and November 2017 (previously, it shared the spotlight with others as part of the Festival of World Cups). This was a nationally significant event and reflected the continuing growth and significance of women in sport.

Girls Make Your Move was proud to support this historic women’s tournament to increase the profile of women’s rugby league in Australia and encourage and inspire other young women to participate in sports and physical activities.

ABC Skateboarding Championships 2018

Australian Bowl-riding Championship is an Australian national competition that brings together the best Pro skateboarders, Female skaters, Masters and Juniors to become the Australian champions in their respective divisions. The competition is held at Bar Beach Newcastle from 24 to 25 February 2018.

This year, Girls Make Your Move is a proud sponsor of the competition, showcasing the amazing girls competing at the event and what they can achieve. We want to inspire more girls to find an activity they love and make their move.

Fernwood Fitness

Fernwood Fitness is a network of health clubs run by women for women. They offer state of the art training equipment, group fitness classes, as well as additional options like personal training, food coaching, childcare in most clubs and more. 

From circuits and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to Zumba and yoga, at Fernwood there’s a group fitness class to suit everyone. Fernwood has 69 clubs around Australia and the community is truly one-of-a-kind — a support network of girls and women of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels who come to these clubs to get fit and have an awesome time doing it.

In 2018, Girls Make Your Move is proud to be partnering with Fernwood to offer girls aged 14 to 21 years a free 10 class pass. Keep an eye out for more offers like this in the future, girls.
