Women's Adventure Film Tour

Girls Make Your Move is so delighted to be supporting the Women’s Adventure Film Tour for the second year. The tour features a series of short films that tell the stories of many amazing women embracing outdoor adventure and achieving incredible things. 

We hope to inspire young women through this partnership to get out, be active, and find your own adventure. In celebration of the partnership, the tour is offering young women up to the age of 21 years a special ‘Girls Make Your Move’ youth rate.

Fitness First

Fitness First offers a range of group exercise classes to suit everyone’s needs and is great for girls starting out. From gentle exercises to high intensity options and everything in between, you can explore the range of group exercise classes and find one that will inspire you to achieve your health and fitness goals. Fitness First also offers fully equipped gyms and personal trainers. 

Girls Make Your Move and Fitness First have teamed up to offer girls aged between 14 and 21 years an amazing 10 free group fitness classes at any clubs available in NSW, VIC, QLD and ACT.

Jetts Fitness Gyms

Girls Make Your Move has teamed up with Jetts Fitness Gyms to bring girls around Australia an amazing opportunity to try out a local gym. Jetts is giving young women aged 16–25 years across Australia a free 2 Week Gym Pass to kick start an active life and begin a healthy new routine.  The offer includes another 2 weeks free if you sign up. Valid from 1 July – 30 September 2018.
Jetts Fitness believes in inspiring people to live a better, more active life. The Jetts team is available during staffed hours to offer guidance and help beginners to feel comfortable with using the equipment – from the treadmill and free weights, to the suspension training zone and pin loaded equipment.

Goodlife Health Clubs

Goodlife Health Clubs offer a great introduction to gyms for girls to start getting active and into a new routine. Whether it’s a gym session or trying out one of the classes, including yoga, Zumba, Tai Chi, Pilates, Grit, Cycle, Dance, Bootcamp, Boxing or Pump – there are so many options to choose from.

Girls Make Your Move has partnered with Goodlife Health Clubs to encourage young women to take their workout inside during the cooler months and stay active all year round. Spanning across NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and WA, Goodlife is offering young women aged 14–21 years a free 2 Week Gym Pass and another 2 weeks free if they sign up. Valid from 1 July – 30 September 2018.

Fernwood Fitness

Fernwood Fitness is a network of health clubs run by women for women. They offer state of the art training equipment, group fitness classes, as well as additional options like personal training, food coaching, childcare in most clubs and more. 

From circuits and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to Zumba and yoga, at Fernwood there’s a group fitness class to suit everyone. Fernwood has 69 clubs around Australia and the community is truly one-of-a-kind — a support network of girls and women of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels who come to these clubs to get fit and have an awesome time doing it.

In 2018, Girls Make Your Move partnered with Fernwood to offer girls aged 14 to 21 years a free 10 class pass. Keep an eye out for more offers like this in the future.

The Women’s Rugby League World Cup 2017

The Women’s Rugby League World Cup was held as a standalone event for the first time in December and November 2017 (previously, it shared the spotlight with others as part of the Festival of World Cups). This was a nationally significant event and reflected the continuing growth and significance of women in sport.

Girls Make Your Move was proud to support this historic women’s tournament to increase the profile of women’s rugby league in Australia and encourage and inspire other young women to participate in sports and physical activities.

She Went Wild

She went wild logo

She Went Wild is on a mission to inspire, empower and educate women to lead an adventurous lifestyle and spend more time outdoors. 

Every day, they help women build up the confidence they need to start their own adventures and showcase those in the world who already do so. They share practical information and inspirational content with them, stage events and hold workshops to empower our members to say yes to an adventurous lifestyle.

In 2017 She Went Wild partnered with Girls Make Your Move to promote the women’s adventure tour.

A special Girls Make Your Move rate has been given to all girls up to the age of 19 years to inspire them to watch the short films and be inspired to get out amongst the great outdoors.

Miss Muddy

Miss Muddy logo

Miss Muddy is an awesome 5km female fun run with colour, foam, inflatables, music, obstacles and plenty of mud. Designed to suit all fitness levels for girls aged 13+, Miss Muddy is untimed and non-competitive with a focus on fun and inclusion. It’s a great way to be active and social.

In 2017 Miss Muddy partnered with Girls Make Your Move to give girls from 13 to 17 years free access to their Sydney event. Keep an eye out for offers like this in the future.

Jazzercise logo

Jazzercise is a pulse-pounding, beat-pumping, dance party fitness program, with a hot playlist to distract you from the burn. There are a range of classes to keep you motivated and will leave you hot and breathless:

  • Strike
  • Fusion
  • Interval
  • Core
  • Strength
  • Dance Mixx.

There are Jazzercise centres across Australia in Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania.

In 2017 Jazzercise partnered with Girls Make Your Move to give girls from 12 to 19 years free access for 30 days to their facilities. Keep an eye out for offers like this in the future.

The YMCA is a community not-for-profit organisation focused on helping people to be healthier and happier. The YMCA in Australia believes in the power of inspiring young people and provides opportunities for them to be their best.  The YMCA has facilities across Australia offering a range of activities from group fitness classes, court sports, to swimming, teen programs, and more. Each facility is slightly different so check out what’s available at your nearest YMCA.
